Our commitment to the environment
At Château du Jonquier, we use 100% solar electricity throughout the house.
A walk in our enchanted forest - dominated by ancient oaks, cypresses and giant plane trees, but made up of a countless variety of species - offers you a relaxing and refreshing experience. The heliport borders on the river Auzon - a source of the mighty Rhone river! - and the mythical Mt Ventoux rises straight behind the Château.

Our park is a haven for local wildlife: the ponds are fed from our natural spring (sometimes supported by a pump) and teem with crayfish. Dawn offers a chorus of birdsong, before the cicadas take over - en force! During the day, meet thieving, chubby Nutrias, who live in one of our streams. In the evening, listen out for Charles, our resident owl (named as its ears and hair bear a more than passing resemblance to the King of England). At night, gaze at the skies salted with stars: there is no light-pollution at this part of the Provence.

At Château du Jonquier we are blessed with a lot of fresh water from the Jurassic depth of the Mont Ventoux massif (pool, streams and ponds). This is unusual in Provence. We urge guests to not leave children unattended as we cannot accept responsibility for their safe-keeping.
