The Château du Jonquier is situated an ideal 1 hour drive from Marseille airport, 25 min from Avignon & L'Isle sur la Sorgue & Châteauneuf du Pape vineyards. It is part of a medieval market town at the foot of the mythical Mont Ventoux, but enjoys the privacy of a large, 5 HA historic park with its new 12 x 6 m vitality pool, two lakes, a vast variety of trees and a myriad of walkways. We are situated an ideal 1 hour drive from Marseille airport, 25 min from Avignon & L'Isle sur la Sorgue & Châteauneuf du Pape vineyards.
Let's explore: the Château offers you a generous ground floor with a large country-house kitchen with South-facing patio doors - THAT Provençal light floods the rooms. Duck through a huge arch in the two metres thick wall and find a formal dining room with a rustic fire-place. It seats fourteen around its Louis XV table. Next door, the grand salon with its elegant fireplace, and snug sofas invite you for fun and unforgettable evening gatherings. In the Garden Gallery you'll find the Baby Grand Piano - a Schiedmayer - as well as Boule, Badminton, a vintage set of Croquet and Pool-towels. Like all linen and towels, they are included in the rental.
On the 1st floor, the five bedrooms and suites are air-conditioned. All bedrooms offer 'And So To Bed' beds and diwan bases. Three bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, and two bedrooms share a bathroom, while the sixth bedroom doubles as antechamber to the master bedroom - ideal for families! Each room is furnished in a eclectic mix of modern classics and Provençal antiques, as much as luxurious fabrics sourced from Pierre Frey, Zoffany, Designers' Guild Christian Lacroix and Lelièvre Paris.
